Proud Sponsors of the Northumberland Soccer Club

House League Soccer provides players with opportunity to play for enjoyment, participation, to make friends and to develop a healthy life style.  House League is the perfect program for those who have never played or just enjoy getting out to have fun! The emphasis in practices is soccer skills. Each week there is a practice at 6:00 pm and a game at 6:30 pm. Our recreational division season is 12 weeks long, starts the end of May, and runs until August.

The development program is for players who are interested in the next level of soccer. These teams have 1-2 dedicated practice nights as well as a game night. Teams play in the DSL (Durham Soccer League) and have a 50/50 split of home and way games. Skill development is the primary goal for these age brackets. The emphasis is still FUN. All players play equal time and try all team positions, including goalkeeping.

Indoor Soccer is a fun and fast-paced game played either in a local gym (U5-U9) or on indoor turf (U11 to adult). A smaller net is used and the ball may be played off the walls. This is a game of constant transition so players are always actively involved in the game. This game really improves a players touch on the ball as well as ball handling skills. Games are 2 twenty-five minute halves with substitutions allowed at any point in the game.
